Into the Circus - SS22

When the Circus is in town it is a colourful celebration. Brightly coloured circus wagons, the scent of sawdust and fantastic, colourful costumes. Circus is the delicate tightrope walker, the magical illusions of the magician, the fun or melancholic clown and the acrobat swinging from the trapeze high above the audience and just under the dome.

The collection Into the Circus is photographed at Marienlyst Castle located in Elsinore, Denmark. This tiny castle was originally built in the 16th century by Frederik II of Denmark, but its current appearance dates back to the 18th century, where Count A.G Moltke acquired the castle and let it rebuild and expand. The castle is only open to the public for special exhibitions, and we felt very lucky to spend two days there, bringing life and colours to the little castle.¨

Circus princes and princesses obviously belong in a castle. In this Filcolana collection our designers have found their inspiration in the diversity and in the patterns and colourfulness of the circus, and we hope that Into the Circus will be an inspiration for your next eye-catching cast on.
