Flowers and Dreams - SS21

With the arrival of spring we slowly begin to dream of flowers, colours, scents, and gentle spring breezes. When making the mood board for this collection, we talked about what dreams are, and how there are as many kinds of dreams as there are different people in the world.

For our designers we gathered lots of dreamy images of colourful flowers, both the brightly coloured dahlias and tulips and the softer, more muted shades of pink poppies, cherry blossoms and gloriously roses. We did not just draw colour inspiration from the floral realm, but also looked at strong women like the Danish painter Anna Ancher and the Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, who shows us a world of big and colourful dreams in their paintings. A Child’s dream is something very extraordinary. In our interpretation it turned into marshmallows and balloons. And a dream of the magic land filled with marshmallows and candyfloss where you might end up if you flew away with all the balloon seller’s balloons.

Our designers built on our ideas, adding their own dreams and floral colours. We think they have delivered an amazing collection of colourful designs, which we have chosen to name “Flowers & Dreams”.
