All That Jazz - AW22

You have probably noticed that we have a theme for every collection – a unified idea, which all our designers work according to. The theme for this collection is “All that Jazz”, and it challenged some of our designers more than usual.

The designers were probably challenged not by the theme itself, but from the way we presented it to them. Usually, the designers receive a visual mood board, but this time our colleague Anne, who is a graduate from the Royal Danish Academy of Music, had prepared an auditory mood board.
The designers had to listen to jazz music from various decades and within different subgenres. And how does one transform music into knitwear? Obviously, they succeeded, and you can see the results in this collection.

The collection was shot at the venue “Hotel Cecil” in Copenhagen. The place, which was built in 1936, has been used throughout the years as a lecture hall, theatre, and from 1991-2017 as the music venue “Jazzhouse”. Today, you can attend both concerts and stand-up comedy at the venue.
